@1gamerdad agreed. It seems like that’s what it is - there’s been zero rumors about “production issues” and it seems to be Chinese new year. I saw a rumor about a cargo container tbh at just shipped from china with 2,000 5090 and 16,000 5080 to Canada. It sounds like we will see a surge coming end of Feb and March.

@devinrex only issue is that 30 and 40 series cards are also overinflated atm. Best chance for a deal is waiting for an msrp card

@devinrex. Nah a lot of new games coming out are optimized so poorly my 3080 seems to barely keep up.

The launch of the cards at Chinese New Year is no damn excuse for this terrible launch. If you don't have the product to sell you shouldn't sell the product. If they didn't have a stock pile ready the release should've been delay several months to build up stock. This has been the worst lauch they've ever had. Worse than the 30 series by a long shot

@nacazzaro true... Technically we all could be just fine with 3000 series cards. But you know. 5090s and 5080s are shiny and new.

You guys are all crazy, including me. I have a GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4080 FE that I manually overclocked using Asus software, native g-sync 4k monitors at 240hz. CPU i9-13900KF, 64 GB DDR5/6800, 4TB SSD Samsung Pro M.2 drives and a 1200 Corsair PSU. I get 75-90 FPS at the busiest areas in Cyberpunk maxed out with RT ON Drive overload. No need for there series 5 cards really.

have you tried running the new indiana jones game? that's a game that my evga 3090 is struggling to get 40 fps with. haven't tried cyberpunk though.

The 4090 didn’t restock till like 4 months later. The 5090 won’t restock till April or May I bet

Factories don’t turn on until around February 10th. And they take a while to ram to full production. Then for the GPUs to be put on sea freight and unload at the port would be another month. Looking like late March for more stock to show up. Could be earlier if shipments are done through air freight but that adds cost and reduces their margins.

Folks need to remember that these cards were launched right before Chinese new year. Everything shuts down for an extended period of time. It maybe another week or two before we see inventory again. - chill people!

Been a bit since I used it but it’s al sold out anyways now. I have 6gb fiber at the house so it should be fine but can’t get it

GeForce Now recently introduced time limits even for paid tiers since they are over capacity. Used to use the service and it was decent as long as you have fast internet

Don’t you still have to deal with latency using GeForce Now? That slight but constant input lag even with gig fiber is what kills cloud gaming for me.

Actually a good idea I think I will sub to GeForce now
